About Damali

Rooted in people. Fluent in what makes them move.

Behavior analyst, former Special Education teacher, entrepreneur, and first-generation daughter of Jamaican immigrants. One thread runs through it all: an authentic curiosity about people.

Damali Alexander is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a specialization in Organizational Behavior Management, but her relationship with human behavior started long before any credential. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Jamaican immigrant parents, she grew up with a first-generation hunger to understand people: what drives them, what holds them back, and what it actually takes to help someone change.

That curiosity took shape as a career when, in the wake of 9/11, she answered a call to serve and became a Special Education teacher in New York City. Teaching students with complex needs sharpened her understanding of behavior at its most foundational level, as something to understand rather than something to manage.

She doesn't just study connection. She acts on it.

From there, her entrepreneurial instinct took over. She launched a US-based online boutique carrying women's clothing, swimwear, and accessories sourced directly from Brazil, and relocated to the country herself to build the brand relationships firsthand.

Every chapter since has deepened the same core: an authentic curiosity about what motivates people and a conviction that understanding behavior is the highest-leverage tool a leader can have. Today she brings that lens, and her BCBA credential, to leaders in education, healthcare, and wellness who are ready to stop guessing why their teams aren't performing and start building the conditions that make great work inevitable.
